El cálido vestíbulo del salón Ormonde está rodeado por un lado por una pared de cristal de tres pisos. Es un lugar perfecto para refugiarse, aquí se ve a los huéspedes disfrutar de la tranquilidad, de un té por la tarde o probando un bermut antes de cenar.

- By car: from Dublin via the N9 Carlow - on approach to Kilkenny city centre, take the first exit at the roundabout (Dublin Road roundabout). Continue straight ahead (onto Kilkenny's ring road). At the next roundabout (Bennetsbridge Road), take the third exit and continue down the hill (Texaco filling station on the left) and continue straight for approximately 1 km. Pass Kilkenny Castle on the right-hand side. At the traffic lights, turn left (onto Patrick Street) and then take the immediate first right (Hibernian Hotel on the corner is the marker). The hotel is a very short distance ahead on the left.
- Completely upgraded in summer 2008, the Ormonde Health Club is the city's largest fitness facility and facilities include a 21-metre indoor deck-level swimming pool, a children's pool, sauna, hot tub, steam room and aerobics studio. On the upper level, there is an extensive gym area with generous space to work out. KO Spa opens the door to luxury and sheer bliss. A new addition in 2008, KO Spa is the ultimate in relaxation. It includes seven beautifully appointed treatment rooms (fees apply) and the Elemis product range works, and also offers massages (fees apply). The hotel also has a sun terrace.
